Office Hours | Qmax: From Questions to Meaningful Assessment

Formative assessment can do more than measure what students know—it can help faculty identify learning gaps, reinforce understanding, and support the development of clinical reasoning. In this Faculty Office Hours session, the ScholarRx team explores practical ways to use Qmax to create, manage, and analyze formative assessments more efficiently.
Designed for current ScholarRx faculty users, the session walks through Qmax assessment workflows and newer faculty tools, including Manage Assignments, Manage Pools, Test Retakes, Auto Close, Time Accommodations, and Question Search. Faculty also see the Manage Assignments and Manage Pools dashboard in action and explore ways these tools can simplify day-to-day assessment management while accommodating different learner needs.
The session also demonstrates how TAI (Teaching with Artificial Intelligence) can support faculty in developing assessment questions aligned with their curriculum while maintaining faculty oversight of the content and review process.
Finally, participants explore how to analyze formative assessment results to identify learning gaps and use those insights to inform instruction.
Whether you’re getting started with Qmax or refining an existing assessment workflow, this replay provides practical guidance for creating more efficient, adaptable, and learning-focused assessment experiences.
